Commitment to the Community

From its opening in April 2009, the hotel has been actively involved in the business community under the leadership of Rick Norman, General Manager. Rick has been an active member of the Canadian Progress Club Halifax for the past eight years. The entire team at the close to Halifax hotel is committed to not only service excellence in their roles at the hotel but commitment to supporting the community in which they live. Actively participating in the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Burnside Business Association and the Canadian Professional Sales Association have all contributed to the success of the hotel. And believing in "Paying It Forward", the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton® Halifax - Dartmouth supports Feed Nova Scotia's Stuff A Bus Food Drive, the Heart and Stroke Foundation BIG Bike Ride and each holiday season, and adopts needy families to provide a traditional Christmas for those less fortunate.

Over twenty organizations have benefitted from the hotel's support since the hotel has been operational. From ringette to hockey, tae kwon do to swimming, basketball, soccer and cheerleading, the Hampton has been leading the way as a true team player. They have been associated with high profile events including the Nova Scotia International Air Show, the Atlantic Festival of Music, the Dartmouth Kennel Club Dog Show and the Millennium Dance Festival.
